Cannot download; cannot find package

Asked by Jp

I have added your repository using
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ehoover/compholio

and then I updated
by sudo apt-get update,

but when I
sudo apt-get install netflix-desktop,
it produces this error:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package netflix-desktop

Also, when I updated, I could not get updates from your repository:

Any thoughts?

Hi,

the output looks like you're not using an Ubuntu based linux mint, but a Debian based. The PPA you've added only provides packages for Ubuntu.

If this is the case you can use Michael Müllers Debian PPA, which includes both Pipelight and Netflix-Desktop.
Just add the repository as described here:
http://fds-team.de/cms/articles/2013-08/pipelight-using-silverlight-in-linux-browsers.html#section_1_3

Only the last step (apt-get install ...) is different in your case, when you want to install netflix-desktop, and not pipelight.
