Probably means be able to establish multicast sessions between hosts on different subnets. In this case the router usually needs to run IGMP. I don't know off hand what is required to enable that.

I am having following setup

Network Node = 1

Cloud Controller = 1

Compute Node = 10

We are using Quantum for Network with openvswitch and using gre for network

my internal net_1 is 172.24.1.x
my internal net_2 is 172.24.2.x
my external extnet_1 10.10.10.x

All are working fine but many of our applications using Multicast ip for communication.

How to enable this feature in Quantum

multi-cast across logical L3 elements is not currently supported in quantum (or nova, I believe).

is this working for internal network.

multicast should work for communication on the same L2 quantum network. Its possible however, that libvirt does some filtering that I am not aware of though
