does post /networks require a network name as in API doc?

Is this an API documentation bug?

http://docs.openstack.org/api/openstack-network/2.0/content/Create_Network.html says "The request body must contain a network object that specifies a symbolic name for the network."

However, I can create a network without specifying a name.
