Scaling an Instance

Is it possible to scale an Instance in running state? For example add more RAM or CPUs?
If not what is the best way to scale an Instance and keep the IP address.
Because if take a snapshot from an instance and create a new instance with a larger flavor, the instance gets a new IP address.

to the best of my knowledge, I don't think it's possible like this; have you tried resizing?

Not supported now.
Maybe we can add kvm hotplug support in the future.
