Hello.

I'm very happy there is not solution relating OERP on Oracle, Oracle is the worst enterprise around FOSS in the world, IMHO even worst than MS ....

I invite you to check diference between Postgres and Oracle, and you will see that there is not any _real_ advantage for oracle over pgsql.

Some years ago the core team decided that supporting several database servers was too costly for the little advantage it procures. Basically all the good it would do is make big offices' DBAs comfortable, and they're not the intended audience.
Technically it is possible but you would have to maintain a fork on your own and it will be very expensive because all the other developers don't care about that and you will have to double-check every single line they write.
OpenERP uses only basic DBMS capabilities and very simple queries so the advanced capabilities of Oracle or DB2 are just not needed. PostgreSQL is easy to learn to experienced DBAs (once they stop cursing and actually get to work).

Can you help with this problem?
