invoice on project tasks

Hi,

I don't see how to generate an invoice based on a project tasks in the new release.
There's no more option in the task and when i click on the action button, it does nothing...

May be, there's a new way to do this...

Hello,

We removed this feature as it was not well implemented and invoicing on tasks in not the best approach for such a need. 2 others approches are preferable:
* From timesheet: invoice based on hours
* From sales order: fixed price contract

I suggest to install mrp_jit and project_mrp modules. Then, configure a product which is of type 'service' and 'on order', 'produce'.

Then you can create quotations and sales orders of servcices. Once these sales validated, it generates tasks. Once the task is done, it generates the invoice. (depending on the configuration of the sale order: invoice after delivery or manual invoice) You can also select if you invoice ordered qties (from sales order) or shipped quantities (from task). You can also invoice by sale order line, if you want to invoice only a part of the tasks.
