Thanks for the question! I'm not sure if MLT can be told to skip frames of an image sequence, however, you can import the image sequence in full, and then change the speed of the clip to speed it up... thus skipping frames. Hope this helps.

The clip speed can be set on the "Clip Properties" dialog. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response! Are you suggesting that I export to the image sequence, then re-import then image sequence as video, speed it up, and then re-export to image sequence?

Haha. Sorry, I misread your first email. I thought you were starting with an image sequence... not converting to an image sequence. However, I still don't think MLT can skip frames when converting to an image sequence. I'll poke around for any possible solutions. In the meantime, you might need to create a simple script which would go delete every other image in your image sequence folder, ya know?

When you convert to an image sequence, it will dump all of those images in a folder. You might try manually deleting a few images, and see if OpenShot still works with your image sequence. Thanks.

You're right, a script will do the trick just fine. Thank you, sir!
