No tray icon? No messaging indicator support?

Asked by Marius Nestor

Hello,

Wonderful application, much better than Hotot, Gwibber, Pidgin-Twitter, and others. But, can you please add a tray icon for it so I don't have to close it everytime? Or at least added in the messaging indicator of Ubuntu.

Can you? Please?

Thanks a lot!

Marius :-)

The Messaging Menu is not supported in Quantal due to some incompatible changes on Ubuntu's side. But it's used by default on all Ubuntu versions before Quantal.

To use a tray icon in Quantal, start Polly with the --statusicon parameter. Don't forget to whitelist polly in the tray. (go to dconf-editor and in com/canonical/unity/panel add 'polly' to the systray-whitelist setting)

Any chance of you fixing it for Quantal's messaging menu?

Yes but only in the new version, which will still need some time before release.
