When file exists error is generated (incremental number is configured), the file is not deleted from the source - is this by design?

I run Linux Mint 16 with Rapid Photo Downloader 0.4.10. I have configured RPD to move the files and to add a unique identifier.
What happens:
File appears in the destination folder with the unique identifier, but the file remains in the source directory also.
What I expect:
File appears in the destination folder with the unique identifier and is deleted from the source directory.
Also:
Would it be possible to have an option to not log the file exists error when unique identifier is enabled? It is hard to see other errors when there are so many of these.
