Use gconf instead of an INI file for the settings ?

Hi,

What do you think if we replace the ini file by gconf ? With this , we can easiest read/save the preferences.

It's possible. I'm not happy with the current config stuff at all, but we do have some users who don't use gconf.

but you're welcome to file a wishlist bug asking for it (which is a more appropriate place than a question really, I think)
