Transcribe

Installed, crashes on 'query...'. however, I see no place to ask for which mp3 file to open???????

first it has to work (see above subject line) but then, where is the ability to open an mp3 file?
just looking for a simple audio player with transciption capability: forward, back, beginning, end and whatever else can be found. On windows I've seen weally which give numeric location and F key / mouse controls.
Doesn't appear o be anything like that for Ubunto.....

Does the “crash” affect the functionality of the program, or do you just get a crash report? If the latter is the case, this is harmless, although annoying.

MP3 is supported if your system supports it (i.e., you can play MP3 files with other applications like Totem or Rhythmbox). You can just open it via the menu or the Ctrl+O shortcut.
