Lenovo ThinkPad T440s still has display issues after docking

On the 14.04 release the display settings don't update properly when returned to the dock. That means every time the T440s is undocked to go to a meeting, for instance, and redocked on return, all the display settings have to be manually reconfigured (monitor mirroring, active monitor, etc.) or just reset the machine.

I believe the issue is related to this bug here, but it's been open since 2011:

Hello,
thanks for the information, I think maybe you can open a new bug report for this issue, although it might be a duplicate of the one you pasted here, but that report is really old and packages are outdated.

Just run "ubuntu-bug linux" in a terminal. You will find some useful information in the FAQ.
