not booting to the desktop

After instaling the application for AYI drivers when I restart I get a white page after the login and startup music.
Is there a recover option?

I don't know what AYI is but if its a graphics driver then try reconfiguring Xorg: http://wiki.lynxworks.eu/ubuntu/configurexorg
