What are the licensing requirement for ebooks?

Asked by carlos araya

I want to use Ubuntu Mono in an ebook project. I cannot add a license file that is not used as it will generate validation errors.

Is ok to put the license file as a comment in a CSS file? If not what is the process to use the font legally in an ebook?

Normally in a program there is a credits, or about/information page, where your own contact details and the details of all the work used from other authors can be found. This might be an appropriate place.

In a book itself there is normally a section about the imprint; with the original author, dates, transcriptions/translations, publishing house and so on.

If you can share a little more information, I can perhaps provide some suggestions.

Can you help with this problem?
