How can I enable the old type-ahead feature found prior to nautilus 3.6?

You can enable the old type-ahead feature that was available in nautilus prior to 3.6 with dconf-editor or gsettings:
1. Install dconf-editor with sudo apt-get install dconf-editor
2. Open dconf-editor
3. Navigate to org.gnome.
4. Check enable-
Alternatively you can use the command line and enable it with:
gsettings set org.gnome.
