Cannot add launcher to Avant Window Navigator bar

Hi,

I have followed the below instructions to installed the Avant Window Navigator but I cannot add launcher to the bar. The FAQ said just drag & drop the launcher on the bar but it did not work with me. Any idea? Pls help.

Fyi, I'm using AWN SVN and Affinity (stable).

There's a message in the website:
NOTICE: No stable AWN at this time. It will be added at the next release
Perhaps this is the problem, but if you give us more useful informations (such as errors or messages) we can try to resolve it.

There's no errors. Just when I drag and drop the launcher on the AWN bar, it will return to its original location. Is that the case, then could you recommend other programs that works like AWN? Appreciate your help.

A beautiful alternative can be the gDesklets launch bar (stable) or Compiz Fusion Screenlets (current under development but very nice).
