save password when mounting other partition

Asked by Neil

hi all
since I updated to 9.10 every time I try to open another partition I have to give the password, it wont remember it, in 9.04 and before it gave you the option to save the password, how can I get it to save the password

Also to get Ubuntu to mount the partition at start up. as I have a link on my desk top and don't want to have to do it every time.

Thanks
Neil

Add the mount in /etc/fstab and it will mount without password.

Hi
Thanks for you help, but still no go, probably me doing it wrong.
What I did is go to synaptic and installed pysdm (storage device manager) it will set it all up to load on boot up. so it is sitting on your desktop when computer starts.
Thanks again you your help.

This is one of the many things I like about Ubuntu, it a community were we can just help each other.
Regards Neil
