Unable to switch back to original user - system hangs

Asked by Aiden83

Switching between users hangs my system in the following circumstance:

If I login to user A, then switch to user B, then switch back to user A, then system hangs at login. In each user session I did have open firefox and possibly other applications too.

The system does not hang:
If I login to user A, then switch to user B, log out of user B, then switch back to user A. I can do this without any problems.

I do not know what package to report this bug under.

I'd log it under gnome, if the bug guys think it is more suited to another package it will be moved for you

For clarification: the system hangs at the login screen? It is totally unresponsive, eg no mouse movement?

As of today I cannot reproduce the problem. I cannot be sure exactly at what point it hung in the past, but I can be sure there was no mouse movement.
