internet drawer on panel

I used to have a text with the icons in the internet drawer on the top panel. They have disappeared. How can I get them back? I am using ubuntu 7.04.

If you create a new user on the system (System -> Administration -> Users & Groups) and then login as that user, do you see the same behaviour?~

i.e. is it user specific or system specific?

Following your directions, signing in as a new user, I was able to place the internet drawer on the panel. Returning to my original log in, I have been able to to get the drawer back as it was before. Thanks for you guidance.
