Hauppauge HRV 1600 remote control not responding

Hi I.m new to ubuntu / Linux

I recently installed mythtv on my system . My TV card is an Hauppauge HRV-1600
the Analog and digital TV station seem to be comming in fine . I managed to date to record digital TV program.
I havent tried Recording analog station yet.

But when I try to get my remote control working using the Mythbuntu control center MCC , the HRV 1600 is not listed

The model no of my remote is a A416 OH/S 1-1 and is similar in apearance as the A 415 HPG-a for the Hauppauge 1600 RT or the conf. file for the Hauppauge -350

I would like to try out one of the above models listing but being new to Linus I don't know how.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a "bug" see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lirc/+bug/454371

This remote used to work just fine for me in older versions of Ubuntu (9.04 and earlier I take it).

I once talked on IRC with a MythBuntu developer who explained that this bug was difficult to correct or fix... and it still hasn't been :(

Hope you have better luck finding a solution then I have been.
