Install Questions

Asked by Lucky

I would like to install Unbuntu on my current desktop but i ran into a couple of problems.
1) I have a Logitech Wireless mouse and keyboard combo and cant change my selection on the install screen
2) because i can't change the selection i cant boot in safe graphics mode

With the regular install method (the default number 1) Unbuntu loads perfectly and I can hear the start up tune, but
I cant see anything. My question is there anyway to get the keyboard to work? or do i need to go and buy a cheap
PS/2 mouse and keyboard for install?

I have a AMD Atlon64 3000+ with 1GB of RAM. My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT. Just in case there is known
hardware problems.

Thanks

Maybe no need for you to buy a different keyboard. If you can go into your bios, you might find a switch to enable your usb-keyboard to be detected as a ps/2 keyboard. Some mainboards have this option. If this doesn't work you can ask a neighbor to lend a keyboard. You might want to ask around, if there is someone with linux knowlege. Linux users are very helpful. ;-)

Can you help with this problem?
