dpkg error

When i go into the add/remove window, im trying to get my sound to work using feisty fawn on a dell. when i click on gstreamer it says restricted area then the little circle gets stuck spinning. I just don't get it My OS wants to install updates, but it keep saying dpkg error and to do it manually. ?????? help im new to this

Try this,

In Applications > Accessories > Terminal, type/paste:
sudo dpkg --configure -a && sudo apt-get install -f

ok I got a java box that says read agreement. i did now how do i get the box to go away or accept the agreement?

Yes now you can try installing whatever you desire to in Add/Remove or Synaptic. In case something fails or interrupts an installation procedure, these errors occur. But you can always run the above given command and get it fixed automatically.
