obtaining Ubuntu software...

i am currently stationed in Iraq...and i think im gonna hafta go the mail route on this one, but who do i talk to, to send me the Linux OS cd?? thanks well in advance...is there any prior knowledge or reading material i should peruse before installation?? again, tyvm...

You shouldnt need any prior knowledge but you can look through help.ubuntu.com for information
