Could not find ramdisk image

I have a copy of the Edubuntu live cd I just downloaded yesterday, when I reboot my laptop and run the cd and try to load the live cd I get this message"Could not find ramdisk image: /casper/initrid.gz"

I've been able to load this same cd on my desktop computer and it worked fine.

Here's some info on my Toshiba M40 laptop(custom) thank's for any help.

I couldn't find the website I originally found this information at but here is a workaround for my problem.

At the screen after the liveCD is loaded(where you can chose to start or install Ubuntu) hit the key for extra options then type (without the quotes) "echo options libata atapi_enabled=1 >> /etc/modprobe.conf" then press enter. I found this website containing the information and other info http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Problems_with_SATA_and_Linux.

The reason I have had problems getting Ubuntu to boot with this laptop is because the disc drive is a SATA CD/DVD and quite a few diffrent versions of Linux seem tohave trouble booting from a SATA disc drive.

Any other comments would be appreciated. Thank you.
