i have ubuntu version 7.04 and want to installed in my laptop which have no dvd but i have external dvd but cant boot from dvd external is there anyway to boot and install ubuntu thanks

i have laptop with come orginally without cd so i format hard disk and try to install ubuntu version 7.04 but my laptop can boot with external dvd i connect to my laptop i have no idea how can i install ubuntu thanks.

do you have a diskette driver? if so try booting from diskette. create a boot diskette using rawrite. you can more information here:
