improvements

Dear ubuntu.

ubuntu having shadows...like windows vista and glass effects..like that just make it more 3d like mac os or windows...I think ubuntu will be more pupular if you use Api like windows

The cool 3D effects are quite neat, and are better than those found on Windows and OSX in a number of ways - not least of which they're free of cost and don't encumber you with a nasty license.

That aside, many parts of the Windows API have been implemented under Linux using WINE and the offshoots Crossover Office and Cedega. These tools allow you to run many Windows based programs under Linux. Not everything works, but many popular applications do.

As this is a feature request or wishlist item, could you write a spec for it and add it? Then it will be looked at by the development teams.

You will be interested in XGL, which provides effects like Aqua or Aero.

I would suggest writing a spec as mentioned above.
