delete online account 12.10

Asked by Jonathan

I'm using online account for my facebook, twitter and yahoo messenger. Everything was fine until twitter is constantly asking to grant access.

After repeating over and over again it was annyoing so I decided to remove everything.

First was Yahoo messenger which was deleted with ease then twitter..

I kept on pressing delete and okay but nothing happens same thing with facebook.

Is this a bug or something?

help, thanks

Hi ,
please be more specific . You are talking about WHAT application ?

I assume you are talking about an Ubuntu application that serves these accounts.

Thanks

I have the same problem. My Ubuntu system informs me, that Ubuntu needs to be authorized to access my twitter account:
Steps:
1. Open Online Accounts
2. Twitter account has a red minus sign in the list
3. Click on twitter account
4. Top message is : Please authorize Ubuntu to access you Twitter account [Grant access]
5. Grant access
6. Follow steps in the "Authorize Ubuntu Online Accounts to use your account" window
7. Red minus sign is removed

But, the red sign appears again after a few minutes. Something clearly goes wrong here. If I then try to delete the twitter account from the online accounts, I can press remove, but nothing happens. When I start gnome-control-center from the command line, and try to remove the twitter account, I get the following error message:

(gnome-control-center:11877): credentials-cc-panel-CRITICAL **: cc-credentials-account-details-page.vala:540: Error deleting account: GDBus.Error:com.google.code.AccountsSSO.SingleSignOn.Error.RemoveFailed: Removing identity data failed.Database error occurred.
