how to reach the location of matlab installation

after i downloaded matlab software a box was opened asking me for the location of the matlab installation which i can't reach can any one please help me determining the location of the downloaded program's installation

When prompted to 'Specify installation folder' it is recommended that you use the default folder /usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a (or the default /usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a_student if you have a student version).
