Laptops with no OS

Is it possible to buy new laptops in the UK with no operating system? If so are they cheaper than on with an OS?

There are always shops selling laptops without pre-installed OS. Just look it up. It depends on the OS which is pre-installed. If Ubuntu would be installed, it's free, thus buying it without OS would not be any cheaper. But buying a windows-laptop without windows is of course cheaper ;)

Some OEM sellers have no OS. Contact sellers to see if they sell OSless systems. Dell will preinstall Ubuntu if you dig a little.
You could also buy systems with freedos installed and wipe clean. Acer Revos can come with freedos.
