Can't Get In!

Hi!
My little brother recently bought a Compaq Presario notebook while in the military. He recently has been shipped overseas, and before he left he gave me the computer for Christmas. Unfortunately he didn't give me the password to get in, and has told me through letters that he can't remember it at all. Is there any way for me to use my christmas present? I can't get past the screen that asks for the password!

Well, Your Not Going To Get Into Windows
But If Your Looking To Get Linux
Then Just Get On Another PC And Make A Disk With Linux On It And Over-Write Windows With Linux

So I just burn it onto a CD, and it'll run automatically? Sorry, I don't know much about Linux.

→ first make you sure, you have burned it right.

→ yes, but make you sure, you have in your BIOS set booting from CD

Hello,
If you lost your password in windows xp and want to change the password and you is not administrator try the following step,
1:boot your computer and hit 'F8' several times until the computer showing you administrator account
2:log in with administrator account and click 'start' and then click 'run'
3:type 'cmd' in the box and the command program will open
4:type 'net user' and computer will show you all the account in the computer
5:type 'net user -account name that you want to change the password- *
e.g: 'net user moral *' ( moral is my account )
6:and type the password you want
that all
