xp wont boot after installing xubuntu 11.10

Asked by Peter

On my backup computer I had dual boot on sda windows millenium and xubuntu 11.10 with both booting up okay.

On the 2nd disk in that machine sdb , I installed XP (so I can play microsoft flight simulator). It booted okay but no choice of OS.
I then installed xubuntu 11.10 alongside on sdb and get a menu to bootup windows millenium, XP or either version of xubuntu 11.10.
Now both versions of xubuntu 11.10 boot up okay but neither windows version will. XP just produces a black screen with no error messages.

I have given up on the idea. I will put 13.04 on my backup computer as well and probably run XP on virtual box.
Thanks anyway.

Peter
