If you run:

cheese

Do you see yourself?

What is the output of:

sudo dmidecode -t 1; lsusb; lsb_release -a; uname -a

Thanks

Thanks Andrew, I just tried copying 'sudo dmidecode -t 1; lsusb; lsb_release -a; uname -a' into the terminal and then installed cheese again, but I still get the same results

Thanks for your support will wait for a solution to the situation

Yes I want the output, meaning copy and paste the outputted text as an update on the forum. Running the command changes nothing and reinstalling cheese also does nothing.

the following is what I get on the terminal
