Grive deleted my photos

Hi all
I tried a program called Grive to sync with google drive.
But it deleted all my photos l :-(
and some other bits but thankfully just made a back up of them.
any ideas to get photos back... could they be some were hidden?
O there not in the bin sad to say.

all I can say is Don't use Grive...very bad...

They were the other bit as mentioned and I did that, would like to the photos back if possible.

You may find luck with foremost on the partition when it is unmounted. If the area where the data once was has been overwritten then the data has gone.
You will lose name and location data but you may get full or partial files back.
You will need another storage of equal size or greater to the one you are restoring from. You will also 'restore' the standing data.
