Better bootup screen in Hardy Heron

I have upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy. What I want is get a better boot up screen instead the simple black and white in grub, how do I get this?

You can use the grub-splashimages package. Please refer to the following page for a step by step explanation on how to setup a grub splashimages.

However, a word of warning: If you are fairly new to Ubuntu this might be a dangerous thing to do, because a wrong setup might render your installation temporarily unbootable until you find a workaround.
