Control Windows desktop from a Ubuntu machine

Asked by Bob Dillon

I have a friend of mine who wants em to remotely log into his computer and take control of his desktop to make changes in program settings and other remote maintenance functions.

Since I am running Ubuntu, how can I access his Windows machine remotely?

 Thank you,

 Bob

I think Remote desktop viewver is for remote login to a Linux desktop. To login on a remote Win desktop you can use the Terminal server client application, that is located at the same place in menu as Remote desktop viewver: Main menu Applications -> Internet -> Terminal server client
I mostly run this program from command line: "rdesktop IP_address". I like more the command line tools. In fact, the GUI program runs this command line utility after you click Connet ;)
