Flash plugin messing with my Computer..

Asked by Perkele

Ubuntu was working just fine up until I got flash player. (I'm on hardy)

Ever since then, if I go to a site such as youtube, sometimes the sound doesn't work. If I close out of firefox, it won't start up again. Then, the tool bars break (places where Applications, Places, etc are). They stop working, so I have to manually shut down the computer. I need flash player, so I can't uninstall it. What should I do?

Isn't supposed to happen, can you Please give more information regarding

1) How you installed the flash plugin for firefox
2) what problems are you facing with some screenshots
3) little about your system.mainly 32bit or 64bit and your motherboard chipset.

and frankly, the stopping of tools bar has nothing to do with flash.
So i suspect some other problem there.

is Desktop-effects(compiz) running?

1) "How you installed the flash plugin for firefox"
Went to adobe's site and got flash for linux(firefox version)

2) "what problems are you facing with some screenshots"
Sound goes, and everything starts to shut down, firefox won't boot up (can't get screens cause nothing will work)

3)" little about your system.mainly 32bit or 64bit and your motherboard chipset."
64bit, not sure about motherboard

"and frankly, the stopping of tools bar has nothing to do with flash.
So i suspect some other problem there."

Well, it was fine for the first few days I used it without flash.

"is Desktop-effects(compiz) running?"
