Connecting two ethernet networks

Asked by javaboy

Hi

I have a broadband modem connected in eth0 and have another computer at eth1. I need to share the internet in this computer with the other one. How do I do it?

Thanks!

I tried googling about it, and figured out that this information could be useful:

Hello,

did you try this howto from ubuntu forums ? http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=713874

Be careful, they use eth0 where you should use eth1.

PS: I know it's not easy for beginners ... But I don't know any packaged graphical 1 click solution to do it in Ubuntu. Anyone else does?

Dear Christophe,

Thanks a lot for the link. It took me a while to get it done, but its working now. I guess I'll use the information provided there and write an easier manual some time soon :D

Thanks again
