Ubuntu 6 install problem

Hi All,

I'm having problem when going to install Ubuntu 6. First it shows me installation options and when I select First one(install in graphical mode) it loading some thing and then finish. After that shows me load my monitor type and vga card and its say going to start X Server or some thing like that. Then it goes to another screen. There screen is fill will horizontal lines and I cannot see anything. I tried several time but same result shows. My compute configuration is
processor - Intel Dual Core 2.8,
motherboard - Asus P5GC-MX/1333 series intel LGA775 945 GC
vga - PCI express NVidia GForce LE7200
Ram - 2 GB
hard - 250 DB SATA

Please help me by mentioning how I'm going to get rid of this.

First of all I would recommend getting your hands on the latest install 8.04.
The version you have is two years old and there have been some significant improvements in that time in hardware support.

If you cannot get that, then...
The issue is with the graphics settings that are being chosen.
I'd try a lower resolution to see if that does anything for you.
