installation of HP Deskjet 610CL

I have a home computer which was just upgraded to Ubuntu 8+ however I cannot get my HP Deskjet 610CL to be detected and cannot install as new. Can I get help?

Try the following in a terminal (Applications, Accessories menu) window...

sudo apt-get hpijs

Thanks for the info Tony however it did not solve my problem. I cannot get the system to detect the printer after I select new printer. Then I have various choices that come up and I've tried all of them. On the LPD/LPR Host or Printer it ask for Host (I enter FIT104) then Queue and I'm not sure what to put in this area.

I know this printer worked before the installation of the 8.04 OS. Sometime it will register the test page in the Manage Print Jobs...reads processing then goes to pending. I have checked all my connections several times...however, sometimes I get the error message "not connected".
