graphics problem leaving imgae after moving a window

Asked by Neil

Hi I am having a little problem with well I guess with my graphics card, if I move a window it leave the image behind were it was, I can "rub it out" by moving the mouse over it but that not to good.
Also if I have a window behind an other one it flashes especially if the is a loading bar it will flash it that spot. I am guessing that it is the same problem some how.
I have an ATI 9250 128meg

Do you have fglrx-control installed?

In terminal...

sudo apt-get install fglrx-control
sudo fglrx-control

It sounds like a buggy driver redraw but you may be able to tweak something with that utility to improve things?

This links to guides for installing and configuring Ubuntu (Gutsy and Hardy) for Ubuntu or Catalyst ATI drivers

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=4949667&postcount=31

That should provide you some options to try.

Can you help with this problem?
