Hi Jitter.

Navigate to “.evolution/mail/local” This is where any locally stored mail from Evolution is placed. Take a backup of them and uninstall evolution.

Please feel free to ask if you have any problem.

My problem with navigating to evolution is that when I do, all the e mails in my firefox are deleting. Do you know how to prevent this from happening?

Hi Jitter,

I don't understand what do you mean by "Emails in firefox are deleting". Do you mean that emails which are present in some email server like gmail/yahoo are getting deleted once you download them to your pc through evolution ?

I have hotmail emails that I can access on my firefox and evolution, but anytime I go to evolution, the emails on firefox go to deleted file. I want to get rid of evolution but want to save some of the emails I recovered on evolution from the deleted files. I moved them back to my inbox. It is merely a case of altering a setting within hotmail regarding POP3 access, I am not familiar with hotmail myself but it would be something along the lines of asking it to keep the items after downloading with an email client, rather than moving them to deleted items.

Can you help with this problem?
