how to install custom dsdt.aml to fix temperature problem on MSI S420

Hi I have MSI S420 Megabook and I have problem with temperature - always 75 degrees C. I found custom dsdt.asl to fix this but I don't know how to install it. I read on Ubuntu forums but I can't find nothing. I compiled with iasl . I have this three files dsdt.asl, dsdt.hex and s420.aml. So I stick here. Thanks.

Hi Harvey,

I try this but my system freeze after i install the custom dsdt. And when i start it in recovery mode in my screen show (initframe) and I don't know what to do.

Sorry for the delay.

Can you boot up in recovery mode? When grub starts, if you cannot select it, hit the Esc key immediately then you should be able to select it.

It appears that there was a problem in the recent past with custom dsdt's:

But if you read the last post, and this forum thread:

It appears that there is still some remaining problem with custom dsdt's.

Sorry I cannot be of further help. My suggestion is that you comment on the referenced bug.
