Install of CNR

Finally have accomplished a good install and update to ubuntu 8.04LTS. Problem is I cant install CNR no matter how many files and updates I have done. The error is "cannot fill dependency libqt4-dbus.
Where do I go from here? Thanks

And chose the one that was applicable to your hardware?

Intel?

Yes I went to that link, dnloaded java for intel not amd, tried term. install - root pw???
made executable, scrolled thru java install and answered yes at end. when all done, still not installed and cnr will not install at all. error - cannot fill dependencie and lists the file libgt-4dbus.

I would suggest querying this error on the CNR site as the error seems to be related to their install for Ubuntu.

As it turns out something was amiss when installing from a good old version of ubuntu 6.xx. Mistake was updating pieces of it then trying to update to newer version, pieces left behind. Ive since bought and received free, new updated version 8.04 cds which will not formatt or install on their own. Subsequently I still had to reformatt with 6.xxx version install and update to 8.04 which takes a while even on satellite. cnr install easily after all that.
