My Ubuntu CD do NOT reboot the pc

Asked by Fisherman

I downloaded the Ubuntu 8.04 to my pc and I burned it (Nero) into a blank CD-Rom.
The Menu "Demo & Full Installation" requiere me to restart to reboot, etc but it never reboot and start the Windows again and again. I tried also "Install Inside Windows" but also failed.

Help.

Hi !

Depending on your bios setup, you may have to press a key to boot from the CD drive. You can also enter your bios and set the CD drive as the primary device.

Hello, Olivier
Yes, u are RIGHT!
It worked!

But I had to cancel the Ubuntu installation because the window screen was too fainted(Blurry) or almost not recognizable: I saw the almost 'invisible' Ubuntu icons in double fashion, so I couldn't read or follow the installation. so I still have the Windows XP

Maybe the memory?
I think I have 1440 in memory (Not sure)

Could you describe your issue better ?

My gess is a video driver issue. Try to install ubuntu in safe graphic mode. You will then be able to install updated drivers for your computer.

what graphic card do you have ? which ubuntu version a re you trying to install ?
