How to set up Sierra Wireless Aircard 880u USB card - mobile broadband connection - in Ubuntu

I am using Ubuntu 7 and I would like to get my bigpond sierra wireless aircard 880U USB card to work any clues to over coming his problem ?

I had problems with wireless with 7 as well, when I install 8 thats fixed the problem it had the drivers for my hardware though it is not he same as yours, but may fix your problem too.
and it os better

Please try this setup guide, which is up-to-date and provided by Sprint:

It should work in Ubuntu 8.04 or Ubuntu 8.10.
