You should be able to simple go to System | Administration | Hardware Drivers

You should then be given the option of selecting a 'restricted driver'

u can download the driver in nvidia homepage..there u can choose the product driver..after u download u can install the driver in ubuntu in text, press ctrl+alt+F1 then login and type your password, type sudo telinit1 and give the password..move to your driver directory and install with following command sh NV...................where NV is the name of NViDIA Graphic driver with the sh extention..just follow the instruction..to makesure the nvidia successfully installed check with glxinfo | grep direct makesure the gdm is restarted..hope this usefull

chinthaka40: you should just be able to use the restricted drivers with no need to install the binaries manually. This will also ensure that your drivers are updated when needed due to Kernel changes.

Can you help with this problem?
