Cannot Connect my Wireless Network

Asked by Feefifoo

When I try to connect to the Internet I have my Connection Passworded and everytime I put it in I get back

Authentication Required by wireless network

Passwords or encryption keys are required to access the wires network "???"

And I already put in my Key, it just asks me again to put in my password and I press connect

and it does it over and over. I don't get it, It was working before I got Linux.

Hi,

Do you know the exact algorithm that is used for wireless security? If yes, you can choose to "Connect to hidden network" and type the name of the network, the encryption algorithm and the password.

In old versions of Ubuntu, it was possible to change the "password encoding". I have already had some problems with that, and had to try all possible password encodings before getting connected. Are you using Ubuntu 8.10?

If you are using WEP there are several options... if you are not sure which one to use ... try them all.

Can you help with this problem?
