how to access my intrgrated webcam

ive installed ubuntu 8.04 in my new laptop
its compaq presario 700 series
but cannot access my intergrated webcam
can any one please help me as i'm new to ubuntu

can you paste the results of doing the following two commands?

lspci

lsusb

In order to use the camera (if it is supported) you will want some applications. "Cheese" is usually recommended for recording and photos.

Issue the following at a terminal to get cheese installed.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cheese

Once its installed, cheese can be found under "Applications, Graphics, Cheese Webcam Booth".
