Kubuntu freeezes after making changes to desktop settings How do I revert changes i made to desktop settings

I have installed kubuntu 8-10 (latest) and It worked great
But when i made changes to the desktop settings ( atcually added more special effects to desktop)
once i clicked apply changes everything is frozen

How do I revert changes i made to desktop settings

Any help is appreciated

hit esc while booting. You will have a menu to choose from.
choose Recovery mode
choose , try to fix xserver
