If you need root privileges you can always use a terminal window and either sudo or su to open an app but its best to avoid being root where possible

Choose System > Login Window. Click the tab Security. Activate the box "Allow local system administrator login". Now you can login as root. But take care: as root you can kill the hole system!!!

Hope it helps.

Blimey Peter, that sounds like a worrying option. Normal user privileges are the best thing to use for almost everything. Shouldn't need to be Root except briefly for certain things

Good luck and stay safe

I log-in as the root. Because I will have the control. And it works very well.

And what did you mean with "not able to log in as administrator"?
